POSITION SUMMARY
The Process Consultant I (PC-I) is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) responsible for managing process improvement projects that range from small to medium complexity. The PC-I must be capable of managing two projects simultaneously (depending on complexity) which will require the ability to gain a high-level understanding of the organization's business processes and systems. The PC-I will also support the Process Consultant-II (PC-II) on large-scale BPM or business process engineering initiatives.
The PC-I responsibilities will include, but not limited to: process improvement, systems engineering, process simulation/modeling, change readiness, mapping business processes and analyzing business requirements to help departments and stakeholders identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions. The PC-I will develop innovative, transformational process improvements by working with stakeholders and will effectively communicate these proposed changes to impacted business units, team members, and other stakeholders. The PC-I will develop, recommend and facilitate quality improvements that impact service delivery and customer service.
The PC-I will also collaborate with business partners, such as Information Technology Services (ITS), Asset & Facility Management (AFM) and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure solutions are efficient, effective, and aligned to the department’s Strategic Business Plan. The PC-I will facilitate presentations with project artifacts and data collected and analyzed during the project phases using clear, concise, grammatically correct written and verbal communications to multiple levels of staff and stakeholders across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•BPM Project Management:
•Develop Project Charter document as described in BPM methodology.
•Develop Project Plan and schedule as described in BPM methodology.
•Lead project kickoff meeting and subsequent project meetings.
•Provide Project oversight on small to medium projects.
•Provide Project or Program support on medium to large enterprise projects.
•Facilitate Kaizen Events.
•Business Process Engineering and Analysis
•Develop proposals and strategies to improve operational efficiencies.
•Follow the generally accepted BPM methodology as outlined in the Six Sigma (DMAIC) philosophy.
•Define and document Current State.
•Measure and analyze the process and conduct root-cause-analysis, impact analysis and gap analysis.
•Document voice-of-the-customer (VOC).
•Design Future State processes.
•Simulate/Test new process prior to implementation.
•Develop Control Plan for monitoring implemented process changes.
•Conduct Change Management analysis.
•Produce final report/business case with performance measures and projected ROI.

•Establish and document core business process and high-level functional requirements that support ITS application development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum of two years of business process engineering and/or system engineering experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other technical degree requiring methodical analytical skills.
