General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Deputy County Clerk, performs a variety of tasks involved in providing timely, fair, efficient, and cost effective disposition of all matters properly presented to the court in compliance with all Trial Court Performance Standards promulgated by the Michigan Supreme Court and in adherence to federal, state and local laws, court rules, codes, and administrative orders. Attending court proceedings and updating court cases filed in the 38th Judicial Circuit Court and Criminal History. Serves as Deputy Court Clerk to one of the Circuit Court Judges as required by Michigan Statute.

Education: High school graduation or equivalent with some college-level courses or a minimum of 2 years of advanced clerical experience in a legal setting.
Experience: Two years of experience in a court or law office providing knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedures, and court procedures with an emphasis on case management procedures.
Other Requirements:
Must obtain a Certified Electronic Operator (CEO) certification within one year.
Must sign a Court Code of Ethics
