Napa County's Health & Human Services Agency, Public Health Services is seeking a Health Services Nursing Supervisor. Public Health Services within Napa County's Health and Human Services Agency works to prevent conditions that challenge health, while protecting and promoting the wellbeing of the entire community. This position will oversee staff and program functions within the Communicable Disease Control program, which includes monitoring and investigating California Code of Regulations, Title 17 reportable diseases and conditions. The Health Services Nursing Supervisor position is responsible to plan, organize, evaluate, and oversee nursing service program operations, supervise and develop staff, assist in program development, assist with administrative responsibilities, and provide direct service as needed. Valid certification as a Public Health Nurse is required
This recruitment is being conducted to fill one full-time vacancy. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreed Salary increases and Wintertime Off:
- 3.5% COLA increase Effective 7/1/2025
- 3.5% COLA Increase Effective 7/1/2026
- 32 hours of Winter Time Off
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience and Education:
To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California is required.
- Possession of a valid certificate as a Public Health Nurse issued by the State of California is highly desirable.
- Possession of a valid CPR card.
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
*Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
