Description:
The Nevada County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Sheriff's Sergeant, a full supervisory level classification responsible for the supervision of Sheriff's Deputies, investigation of crime scenes, and other duties. Incumbents in this classification may be assigned to patrol, investigations, search & rescue, community outreach, personnel and training or court services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Sheriff's Deputies
- Investigate crime scenes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Equivalent to four (4) years of full-time, paid experience as a sworn law enforcement officer with a city, county, state or federal police agency
- Possession of a valid California driver's license within 30 days of hire
- Possession of a valid Intermediate P.O.S.T. certificate or required to qualify and apply for P.O.S.T. Intermediate certificate by time of application
