INTERVIEWS FOR SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL BE HELD THE WEEK OF MARCH 24 Are you looking for a fulfilling opportunity to support our community and make a difference in the lives of the citizens of Nevada County? The Social Services Department is hiring one new support staff team member for our Social Services Team in Truckee! The Office Assistant I / II in our Truckee office will help Nevada County residents connect with the following programs: Social Services Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, and Eligibility units. Additional tasks or duties may be assigned supporting other Health & Human Services Agency departments, such as Public Health and Behavioral Health. Applicants interested in an Office Assistant I (OA I) level will have completed twelfth grade and have coursework or practical experience in typing. Candidates qualified for the Office Assistant II will meet the requirements for OA I and also have two years of general clerical experience at the OA I level. Please be sure to apply to all levels for which you may qualify. This position is part-time temporary, and requires availability Monday- Friday 4 hours a day. A temporary, part-time employee works on average 20 hours but not more than 29 hours per week, for a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year. Temporary employees earn sick leave, but are not eligible for other vacation or holiday pay, medical, dental, or vision benefits, or CalPERS.The Truckee Tahoe Workforce Housing Agency also helps Nevada County employees navigate housing in the Truckee Tahoe area, with a dedicated team to assist employees toward stable, secure housing, whether that is for rent or for purchase.
