Park Attendants work directly with customers to ensure they receive high-level customer service and enjoy a safe, clean, and fun county park and campground experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and provide information pertaining to park use, safety requirements, and area points of interest.
- Register campers on the computer, sell permits and other items within the park. Account for sales at the end of their shift with the manager.
- Perform routine maintenance and developmental tasks within a particular park site.
- Perform janitorial operations on cabins, comfort stations, bathhouses, picnic pavilions, and other structures, satisfying standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Assist maintenance staff with trimming grass around trees, posts, and other obstructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Park Manager or Parks Director.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in High School; a minimum of 16 years of age is required at the time of employment.
- Previous customer service and custodial experience or experience in related field is preferred.
- Must have valid MI Drivers' license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Good character with no history of serious criminal activity.
