The Newaygo County Park and Recreation Department is seeking individuals to fill seasonal Park Attendant positions. Newaygo County Park Attendant positions are great seasonal jobs for customer-focused candidates who enjoy the outdoors, regardless of whether they are experienced workers or looking for their first job. We are looking for individuals who are not afraid to interact with the public and enjoy keeping their workplace clean and safe for customers. Park Attendants work directly with customers to ensure they receive high-level customer service and enjoy a safe, clean, and fun county park and campground experience.The first round of interviews will be the week of March 10. Park Attendants can begin their positions as early as April 28.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Greets visitors and provides information pertaining to park use, safety requirements, and area points of interest.Registers campers on the computer, sells permits and other items within the park. Accounts for sales at the end of their shift with the manager.Performs routine maintenance and developmental tasks within a particular park site. Performs janitorial operation on cabins, comfort stations, bathhouses, picnic pavilions, and other structures, satisfying standards of cleanliness and sanitation.Assists maintenance staff with trimming grass around trees, posts and other obstructions.Performs other duties as assigned by the Park Manager or Parks Director.
