We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator II to join our team at the County of Oconee. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate and compact earth, load and unload materials, move and haul materials, maintain County properties, and perform other general or specialized functions of various County Departments. You will also be responsible for performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, referring defects or needed repairs to the supervisor, and assisting staff with maintenance and repair duties as required.
