What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor - Seasonal position at County of Passaic?
Camp Hope is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Counselors to create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for campers. Counselors serve as role models & leaders while guiding campers through daily activities, fostering friendships, and ensuring a positive camp environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and engaging with campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Leading and participating in camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises.
- Encouraging camper participation and creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
- Enforcing camp rules and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Serving as a positive role model, demonstrating leadership, patience, and enthusiasm.
- Assisting with daily camp operations, including meal supervision, cleanup, and aquatic programs.
Requirements:
Education: High school.
Experience: Previous experience working with children (camp, school, babysitting, coaching, etc.) preferred.
License: Valid New Jersey driver's license or government-issued ID required.
