Per Diem Ambulatory Primary Care Physician Leader - Geriatrics (Finance)
Riverside University Health System has a Per Diem Physician opportunity with the Medical Center - Geriatric Clinical Practice. The Geriatric Practice offers varied, extensive, and unique services to the patients served by RUHS and offers a multitude of opportunities for the Geriatrician. This position has a flexible schedule, 2-3 days per week.
What we are looking for in candidates :
- MD / DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Eligible / Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active and unrestricted California medical license, or able to obtain a California medical license
- Familiarity with clinical metrics, performance improvement, and corrective action plans
- Previous work experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities and / or Outpatient Primary Care
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Job Responsibilities :
Experience : Successful completion of a residency training program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) OR by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and Board Eligibility or Certification in that medical specialty. Must become Board Certified before Board Eligibility expires per the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) regulations.
Knowledge of : The principles and practices of modern medicine; current techniques, procedures and equipment applicable to primary care or the specialized medical field; principles of effective supervision.
Ability to : Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate specialized medical services; perform specialized medical services; supervise and instruct professional and technical personnel; develop and present educational programs for medical students, interns, resident physicians, and ancillary medical staff; maintain records and prepare comprehensive reports; work effectively with staff, patients and others.
License / Certificate : Possession of a current valid Physician's and Surgeon's Certificate issued by the State of California without restrictions.
Possession of a current valid Drug Enforcement Agency registration.
Board Eligibility (BE) in respective specialty with Board Certification (BC) issued by the respective board before the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) board eligibility expires.
Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required.
