Performs responsible skilled recreational and supervisory work in accordance with the program standards for children and/or youth at an assigned location Supervises Activity Leaders to include organizing, planning and participating in recreational activities with children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13). Maintains required records, collects fees and prepares deposits. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education | Required: High school education or equivalent supplemented with college level courses or training in a childcare related field |
Experience | Required: Three (3) or more years of programmatic experience, in aregulated program with children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13), which has been obtained after the age of sixteen (16). Of the three years, one (1) year must be in a staff supervisory capacity Preferred: One (1) or more years appropriate experience in the group care of children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13) |
Certifications/ Licenses | Required: Must have and maintain Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificates or obtain same after employment. Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record |

Additional Requirements | Must be age twenty-one (21) or older. Subject to a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background search with acceptable results. Following a conditional offer of employment, must submit to a Tuberculosis test. Must also be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description. |
