What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Juvenile Services Center - Temporary position at County of San Luis Obispo?
The County of San Luis Obispo Health Agency is seeking a self-motivated, qualified professional to fill the position of temporary help Nurse Practitioner at the Juvenile Services Center. Temporary Nurse Practitioners serve as on-call back up support for nurses on duty and may be scheduled to work in the evenings and on weekends, or scheduled to cover vacations and leaves.
Opportunities to work on-site at the clinic may also be possible, but not required.
Under supervision of a licensed physician, in accordance with established protocol, and as allowable under a State of California Nurse Practitioner, performs physical and psycho-social assessments; establishes medical diagnosis; orders and evaluates diagnostic tests; and manages follow-up care.

Education and experience required to receive and maintain a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and registration as a Nurse Practitioner from the California Board of Registered Nursing.
