This includes a medical evidentiary exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, digital imaging, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. The SANE is expected to work collaboratively with Sexual Assault Response Team partner agencies and follow protocols established by the County and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program.The SCVMC Adult / Adolescent SAFE Program cares for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, age 12 and older, who seek medical treatment and evidence collection after assault.This program is based at SCVMC but provides SAFE services via mobile response to the following hospital facilities : Stanford Hospital ED, the Children's Advocacy Center, and St. Louise Regional Hospital ED.Clinical Nurse III - Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Adult / AdolescentPositions available in the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner units at each hospital include : Santa Clara Valley Medical Center - Sexual Assault Forensic ExaminerThe eligible list will be used for future openings within this competency area.
