POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clerk of Courts office is the Chief Record Keeper of all Criminal Proceedings before the Court of Common Pleas. Which includes the filing and docketing of all papers received for each case; distribution of copies to the appropriate parties; completes dispositional reports, posts and distributes monies received for fines, cost and restitution; prepares appeals to the Commonwealth Superior & Supreme Courts; prepares commitment papers to SCI; attends all Criminal Proceedings in Court
Education/Experience:
Must have High School Diploma
Clerical and Computer Experience
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Must be courteous and cooperative with the public, attorneys and related offices.
Must attend classes provided by AOPC for training on the CPCMS statewide computer system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
An employee in this position is responsible for performing all of the clerical and secretarial work generated in the Clerk of Courts Office, and to do same with high degree of competency and responsibility. The specific job duties include the following:
- Filing
- Answering and screen incoming calls.
- Issue receipts for monies received in office.
- Sorting and opening mail and processing the same.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSCIAL STANDARDS:
Docketing Court Orders and etc to the appropriate Criminal Docket Process Expungements; attend Criminal Court proceedings.
