What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (part-time) position at County of St. Francois County?
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodial Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout our facility. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is mandatory.
Night/Evening shift starting at 2:00 p.m.
Estimated hours: 24-36 per week but could vary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas regularly to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed throughout the facility.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt and debris.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a clear and polished appearance.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within specified timeframes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established protocols.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Punctual & reliable attendance demonstrated at recent employer.
