The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for performing litter pickup along roadways and on public properties. This position may also perform other duties such as operating a truck and trailer, performing general labor and maintenance tasks, and providing storm response such as filling sandbags and clearing storm drains.Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs manual labor collecting roadside and illegally dumped litter of varying sizes and materials requiring standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time. Drives vehicle with utility trailer attached. Works alongside court-mandated community service volunteers. Exercises safe working procedures and practices. Reads and interprets written instructions and documents and follows oral instructions.
