NOTE: THE SELECTED CANDIDATE(S) WILL BE EMPLOYED THROUGH VOTRAN AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR COUNTY-OFFERED BENEFITS.
This position’s duties include but are not limited to the following: Report for duty promptly in proper uniform and physical condition; Properly operate small bus/van over prescribed route, following a manifest; Provide information to passengers in a courteous, efficient manner; use proper etiquette to assist passengers with disabilities.
Use correct safety procedures to operate lift, secure wheelchairs, amigos and other assisted devices when assisting passengers with disabilities; Keep small bus/van comfortable; operate small bus/van smoothly and safely; conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe/clean condition; Complete daily manifest to include pick-up and drop-off times and odometer readings. Collect proper fares; follow all local, state, and federal laws/regulations including the Americans with Disabilities Act as pertains to public transportation. Prepare written reports on accidents, incidents, road damage, etc. Operate a two-way radio system in accordance with established rules and regulations of VOTRAN and Federal Communication Commission. May assist passengers with loading/unloading packages on the small bus/van; helping persons with a disability.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Must have or be able to obtain a CDL Class B permit or license with a passenger endorsement.
