POSITION SUMMARY
- This employee has primary responsibility for support of staff, activities, and programs of the operations and outreach units.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Some knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration.
- Some knowledge of the principles of governmental accounting, statistics, and public personnel administration.
- Some knowledge of the sources of information, methods, and techniques used in administrative research.
- Ability to carry out with some supervision staff assignments requiring the organization of material and development of procedures.
- Ability to conduct studies and analysis contributing to the development of sound operational procedures.
- Ability to speak and write effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative officials, other employees, and the general public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide coordination of the following programs:
- Farmers Market Nutrition Program
- Tax Assistance Program
- Holiday Food Programs
- Santa for a Senior Gift Program
- Medical Outreach Program
- Serve as Fleet Manager for the agency
- Responsible for maintaining building meeting rooms usage calendars
- Responsible for coordination and supervision of New Horizon bundlers and delivery drivers
- Assist with publication of New Horizon, as proofreader and assist with verification of information and data
- Responsible for coordination of outreach literature displays in medical offices and community sites
- Represent the agency at community outreach events
- Provide support for various community programs, including, but not limited to:
- Immunization Program
- Rent-A-Kid
- APPRISE
- Annual Enrollment Events
- Culturally Diverse Outreach
- Prime Time Health Programming,
- Fall Risk Programs (MOB, HOSA)
- Courthouse Tour Program
- Senior Games
- Responsible for support at all agency events, seminars, and trainings, including set up/clean up, purchasing, assisting with registration, and other activities, as requested
- Maintain inventory and organization of supplies and equipment; including purchasing items as identified
- Review media sources, screen for aging and agency appropriate news and share with Public Information Specialist
- Responsible for information bulletin board in cooperation with Information Specialist
- Assist in maintaining/preparing/transporting literature, materials, and equipment for community outreach events
- Assist department staff with transportation of supplies, equipment, and delivery
- Assist Information Specialist staff in gathering updated information for agency files and records
- Member of Senior Games Planning Committee
- Assist with back-up coverage for switchboard as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.91 per hour
