Job Summary
The Enforcement Worker/Court provides primary secretarial support to the Staff Attorney as needed. Responsible for filing briefs and correspondence, coordinating the Court schedule for office proceedings before the Bench, responsible for all clerical aspects of court, including scheduling and docketing. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external clientele. All duties must comply with State law and rule, the requirements of PACSES (Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System) and York County Domestic Relations procedure. This is a bargaining unit position.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and distribute weekly court list and bench warrant list to designated recipients.
- Maintain scheduling of cases for contempt court.
- Process bench warrants issued out of Contempt court; vacate bench warrants as needed.
- Communicate with clients, attorney, and chambers, on a regular basis by way of phone, in person and other means of technology.
- Scan/copy relevant case information in preparation for contempt court.
- Attend/Observe court and take notes to aid in recording information pertinent to enforcing the Court’s directives as needed.
- Field phone calls related to contempt court.
- Complete contempt court docketing.
- Review and forward Motions for Reconsideration for Court review.
- Locate and pull cases needed for contempt court.
- Act as liaison between our office and Public Defender’s office, keeping them informed of contempt court schedules.
- Review/process filings received by DRS clients/attorneys for accuracy; regarding contempt/warrant proceedings
- Deliver necessary files/documents to the Bench when requested
- Maintain contempt court calendar for contempt hearings/bench warrants to be held before members of the Bench
- Provide back-up coverage for any member of the support staff as needed.
- Have a general knowledge of applicable Statue, Rules and Regulations that govern the operation of the office.
- Demonstrate proficiency with general, duty-specific and duty-related portions of the PACSES (Pennsylvania Child support Enforcement System) System.
- Comply with all computer and office security and safety procedures and confidentiality requirements.
- Attend periodic trainings about PACSES, the support system or other relevant topics to enhance work performance.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director, or Assistant Director
Essential Requirements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must possess basic communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to perform simple mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages) either manually or using a calculator.
- Familiarity with operation and daily maintenance of office equipment (personal computer, printer, copy and fax machines, Lektriever filing system, copiers, date/time stamp machines, etc)
- Ability to type, spell and punctuate accurately.
- Ability to locate cases by various methods.
- Ability to learn general principles and procedures of duties, then extend those guidelines to cover a variety of situations
- Bi-lingual skills not required, but are considered a plus for any candidate
- Must adhere to Court and/or County policies and procedures
