Medical Courier Br

Courier Express is currently looking for individuals in the Brockton area who are reliable, responsible, and have excellent communication skills to be an integral part of our team. Our ideal applicants will provide prompt, courteous and professional delivery/pickup service to multiple facilities and will also contribute to the Systems’ mission to be recognized as the "providers of choice' by staff, patients and the community and the vision of providing save, quality care with compassion.

Here are the specifics about the positions we currently have available:

These positions will be making deliveries of mostly pharmaceuticals, but there may be delivery and pickup of many different items including, but not limited to: lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, interoffice mail, parcels, boxes, equipment, supplies, laundry and linens.

• $18.00 per hour to start
• Schedule will be 9:30 a.m. until about 5 or 6:00 p.m. (busier days could go as late as 7 p.m.).
• Part-time position, 3-5 days per week – there may be some weekend hours
• There is potential this could grow into a full-time position.
• Vehicles are equipped to hand New England winters appropriately
• These deliveries will include sensitive materials such as confidential names, medications, and addresses that require the upmost care and respect.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have clear background and clean driving record
• Drug screening, including testing for marijuana: ALL tested substances must come back NEGATIVE (Federal/DOT requirement)
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Must meet all requirements of our insurance carrier
• Proficiency with using smart devices: phone apps & GPS
• Have your own Bluetooth device for hands-free calls while driving
• Walking, up to 2 miles per day
• Physically be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move/push/pull/lift items (sometimes of large and irregularly shaped) weighing up to 50 lbs. (proper equipment is provided for assistance)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operating a company-owned hatchback, SUV or mini-cargo van and maneuvering into loading or unloading positions
• Delivering to customers in a timely, professional, helpful manner
• Communicate with management/dispatch
• Follow route and time schedule, but have flexibility for possible add-on “STAT” pickups
• Keeping vehicle clean and refueled each day
• Reporting vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues
• Fast paced work environment
• Inside office pickups and deliveries
• Following all traffic laws and regulations.
