Purpose of the Position: Oversees daily warehouse processes and activities.
Primary Job Duties: Leads the warehouse staff in the daily operations and functions of the department. Ensures every delivery is assigned and accounted for. Ensures the Independent Contractors are properly uniformed and properly trained. Resolves customer and delivery issues. Supervises large accounts to monitor delivery status and customer satisfaction. Ensures the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times. Reviews individual driver performance weekly such as cargo loss and claims. Responsible for midday scanning of all product on the dock to assist with tracking.
Secondary Job Duties: Develops employees in the culture of Courier Express and provides the tools necessary for them to succeed in their position. Makes managerial decisions concerning staff, including hiring and firing.
Impact on Other Positions, Products, & Services: Ensures the product is sorted and loaded properly to maintain an efficient warehouse operation. Helps reduce the stress and impact of errors on all service levels, including the customer.
