What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Center Manager- Food and Produce position at Course?
The Distribution Center Manager will oversee all aspects of the Distribution Center, including efficiency improvement, sales development, monitor margin and workplace productivity, facility and vehicle maintenance as well as food safety with guidance from Food Safety.
Qualifications and requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree
At least three (3) years of previous customer service experience required.
Food and produce experience is preferred.
Previous sales experience preferred
Working knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provides leadership and guidance including recruitment and training for all operations personnel on Company procedures and policies to ensure adherence to a" company Federal, State and Local municipalities to ensure a safe work environment
Oversees all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implements strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce order processing times
Enforces strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Conducts regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Identifies opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Drives a culture of innovation and continuous learning to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflows and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Conducts regular performance evaluations, provide coaching / mentoring, and implement training programs as needed.
Responsible for Financial Analysis, Budgeting & inventory Control
Develops comprehensive KPI reports and implement continuous improvement plans to drive process improvement,
Provide direction and input to the company based on experience, market intelligence and manufacturing knowledge.
Willingness to work Weekends and Holidays as needed
