About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations at our client's New Jersey site.
This is a dynamic leadership role that involves managing teams, streamlining processes, and driving operational improvements. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse and inventory management, supervising assembly operations, and implementing systems like SAP to enhance efficiency.
This role also requires strong collaboration with other departments, including sales and finance, and the ability to lead a team of approximately 10 people with professionalism and a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse and Inventory Management
Supervise warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock accuracy, and order fulfillment.
Optimize storage and retrieval systems to improve efficiency.
2. Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and support a team of approximately 10 employees across warehouse, customer service, and assembly functions.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and performance.
3. Assembly Shop Oversight
Ensure the local small assembly shop meets production targets and adheres to quality standards.
Identify areas for improvement in assembly operations and implement solutions.
4. Procurement and Site Operations
Oversee purchasing activities and maintain productive relationships with suppliers.
Handle daily operational challenges to ensure seamless site functionality.
5. Process Improvement
Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and efficiency.
Implement changes to enhance productivity and align with strategic objectives.
6. SAP Implementation
Lead the implementation of SAP systems, focusing on purchasing, sales, and warehouse modules.
Train team members and ensure smooth adoption of the new system for better data management and decision-making.
Qualifications
