What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Partnership Director position at Course?
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Strategic Partnership Director. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the operating and strategic direction of our organization. You will oversee all aspects of our financial, branding, and administrative functions, as well as external services.
- You will work closely with external stakeholders to promote our mission and identify collaboration opportunities.
- You will support fundraising efforts across government, academia, industry, corporate, university partnerships, foundations, and private philanthropy.
- You will develop and execute services to attract and retain early-stage companies and support commercialization expansion.
- You will oversee financial strategy, budgeting, and capital planning.
- You will expand relationships with the investor community.
Ideal Profile
- Prior experience driving private-public partnership.
- Former Founder and/or Investor.
- Fast-paced business experience, preferably in a business development capacity.
- History of building long-term strategic plans and corresponding budgets.
- Success in fundraising and/or convincing external stakeholders to financially support a mission-based organization.
- Entrepreneurial approach, eager to build, create value, and solve problems.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset who is comfortable with a minimal amount of direction.
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communications including expertise to interact successfully with a diverse array of external stakeholders.
