What are the responsibilities and job description for the Testing and Inspection Coordinator position at Course?
Responsibilities:
• Extensive knowledge of testing & inspection requirements for mass retailers/licensors such as: Walmart, Sears/Kmart, Target, Forever 21, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Justice, Dollar Tree, Meijer, Disney
• Served as key liaison for quality issues with daily contact with production department, oversea QC’s, agents and factories to ensure compliance.
• Review failed testing & inspection reports and work with the supplier for improvements and corrective action plan.
• Provide production team with the recommended fiber contents and care instructions to follow based on test results and authenticate packaging layouts for major accounts.
• Communicate factory testing & inspection requirements for specific accounts to agent/factory with details clearly defined.
• Participate in design development meetings to address and prevent potential safety hazards early on.
• Build and maintain strong partnership with key accounts quality personnel.
• Ensure our products are in compliance with all applicable US/international laws and regulations.
• Evaluate design development samples for quality assurance and proactively provide feedback as necessary (eg: need to change/remove certain design to prevent potential testing failures).
• Investigate and resolve questions/issues regarding quality from factories, agents, production managers, designers and oversea QC’s on a daily basis.
• Attend Product Safety and Compliance seminars to be updated with new changes and applicable regulations in the industry.
• Coordinate our internal in-line/final inspections with QC team’s and third party auditors (BV, ITS, etc)
Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience
• Proficiency in MS office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proactive and strong follow up skills
• Very detail-oriented, flexible and able to multi-task
• Ability to finish daily tasks in a timely manner
• Ability to solve problems and trouble shoot in a fast paced environment
• Working knowledge of garment construction, patterns, process and timelines understanding a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
