We are looking for a dog-loving, organized, and friendly person to join our Courteous Canine Daycare team! We do not use shock, prong, or choke collars at any time. All handling is force-free and designed to set dogs up for success.
Our daycare currently has a maximum of ~20 dogs per day with two staff members and operates Tuesday through Friday.
Our ideal candidate has experience with dog daycare, is comfortable managing groups of medium to large size dogs, and is willing to start right away!
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- Must be committed to positive, humane handling and training methods only
- Must have reliable transportation
- Professional experience in a pet hotel, dog daycare, animal shelter, or veterinary office with kennel setting is strongly preferred, but as long as you are willing to learn and love dogs, we'd love to have you on our team!
- Experience managing groups of dogs during off-leash play preferred
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be a kind, patient and compassionate person
Position responsibilities:
- Check dogs in/out for daycare services and facilitate safe introductions
- Maintain supervision of playgroups and ensure appropriate play between our pups
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect building, crates, floors and yards
- Provide excellent customer service and client communication
- Maintain continuing education in humane handling methods as well as pet first aid
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be physically able to crawl into crates to clean and lift and carry dogs as needed
