Must be committed to force-free training methods, avoiding the use of choke, prong, or shock collars. Evening and weekend availability required. Certification preferred. Must have paid professional experience of at two years.
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- 2-3 years of professional experience in dog training and/or behavior consulting or zoo or vet tech experience
- Ideally would possess certification in dog training and/or behavior consulting or be working towards one
- CCPDT, IAABC or PPAB certifications preferred
- Must be committed to positive, humane training methods only
- Must have reliable transportation
Position responsibilities may include:
- Lead group classes on a variety of topics for dogs and their owners: Basic manners, healthy play, enrichment, sports, etc.
- Provide private training services in client’s homes and at our campus in Lutz
- Optional provide behavior consulting services in client’s homes and at our campus in Lutz
- Required to provide excellent customer service, client communication, and prompt scheduling
- Required to maintain continuing education in humane training methods
- Optional to provide board and train services for dogs you hand select
