We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and supply of parts essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of OEM parts, enabling them to effectively support our maintenance and repair teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure availability for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms of service.
- Utilize demand planning techniques to forecast parts requirements based on operational needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to parts availability and specifications.
- Oversee procurement management processes to streamline the acquisition of necessary components.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including purchases, returns, and stock levels.
- Assist in the training of team members on the proper handling and storage of parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or procurement management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with OEM parts and equipment repair processes is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience in negotiating contracts or pricing agreements is preferred.
- Knowledge of demand planning methodologies will be beneficial for success in this role.
