Position Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GM Certified Technician to join our team at Courtesy Chevrolet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturer standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and repairs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair
- Perform accurate diagnoses of mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using GM diagnostic tools and software.
- Execute necessary repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks per GM guidelines.
- Preventative Maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet GM's performance and safety standards.
- Technical Expertise
- Utilize GM-specific technical resources, tools, and equipment to deliver manufacturer-approved repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest GM certifications, techniques, and service bulletins.
- Customer Interaction
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor clearly and accurately.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Follow all dealership and GM warranty guidelines.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of repairs and parts used.
- Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts Department, and other Technicians to meet customer and dealership goals.
Qualifications:
- Certification & Training:
- GM Technician Certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Previous experience required
- Experience working with GM vehicles
- Skills:
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic software and tools.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
