What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Clerk - DMV/Wholesale position at Courtesy Automotive Group?
- Process vehicle title transfers in a timely manner to avoid DMV fees and/or penalties, including but not limited to, completing title applications, verifying ownership documentation, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review and verify accuracy of title documents, ensuring all necessary information is complete and correct for all sold vehicles and trades by breaking down deals for the sales.
- Making timely payoffs for trades to insure receiving the titles and following up on receiving the titles once paid off.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve title-related issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all title transactions, including digital and physical files.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide status updates and address inquiries related to title processing.
- Stay informed about changes in title laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in title processing procedures.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects such as responding to and negating toll/parking violation notices.
- Maintaining clean and accurate schedules associated with your duties.
- Assisting with wholesale payments as needed and dealer trade MSO reciprocations
- Experience with CDK preferred.
- Experience with DMVDesk (Vitu) preferred.
- Previous experience in a title clerk or similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of vehicle title regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and title management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
