Job Overview:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the hotel by supporting the General Manager in all aspects of operations. The AGM is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and driving revenue. This position requires a strong leadership presence, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities and Duties:
. Assists the General Manager in developing and implementing hotel strategies and goals
. Oversees daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
. Manages staff performance, including hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching
. Ensures guest satisfaction by resolving complaints and providing exceptional service
. Develops and maintains strong relationships with guests and clients
. Monitors and analyzes financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
. Implements and maintains quality assurance standards
. Ensures compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and regulations
. Represents the hotel at industry events and community functions
Education & Experience:
. Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
. Proficiency in hotel management software
. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
