Key Responsibilities for the Hotel Sales Manager include:
- Develop and implement sales plans to increase revenue for all assigned hotels.
- Identify and target key markets (corporate, leisure, group, airline, government, etc.).
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of competitors and industry trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners.
- Negotiate and secure group bookings, corporate accounts, and long-term stays.
- Ensure sales targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and local business meetings to generate leads.
- Conduct cold calls, site visits, and sales presentations to attract new business.
- Prepare and negotiate corporate contracts, RFPs (Request for Proposals), and group agreements.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and pricing guidelines.
What We are Looking for in a Hotel Sales Manager include:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, though a degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with handling contracts, reports, and sales documentation, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills with previous experience in client communication, handling inquiries, and maintaining positive guest relations.
- Familiarity with hotel sales software such as other property management systems is a plus.
- Experience in coordinating meetings, banquets, or group bookings is beneficial.
- Experience with social media, promotional campaigns, or local business outreach can be helpful for attracting new clients.
