Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be adept at troubleshooting and repairing various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and inventory.
- Fabricate and modify components as needed to improve equipment performance or resolve issues.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and logic controllers effectively.
- Supervise maintenance staff during projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct residential painting and general upkeep of facilities to maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management, prioritizing tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts as required for repairs or improvements.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read and understand schematics.
- Experience supervising or leading a team is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
