Bistro Attendant/Barista

Job Summary
Be part of a winning team! The Courtyard By Marriott Akron/Fairlawn is seeking a Bistro Attendant/Barista to join our team. Guests love our casual dining restaurant with Starbucks and lounge! We need you use your top notch restaurant skills to ensure the Bistro is a success! As our Bistro Attendant/Barista, you will be responsible for providing a complete guest experience: taking food, drink and Starbucks orders, serving drinks and Starbucks beverages and serving and preparing food from the kitchen. Weekend days will be required.

TIPS Training is preferred but not mandatory.

Weekend and Mid-Week days will be needed as well a mix of AM and PM sifts.

Duties
- Be the face of the Bistro

- Take our guests' food and beverage orders and accurately transfer the information to the back of the house.

- Prepare Starbucks coffee and tea beverages

- Prepare/Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage items
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness standards

- Deliver top notch service in the Bistro to our guests

- Use the Bistro POS to account for all purchases

-Prepare quick service food in the kitchen

Requirements
- Proven experience in in the food service industry (e.g., hotel, hospitality)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
