Job Summary: the Courtyard Hotel is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The Front Desk Agent will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations, and address any guest inquiries or concerns with a positive and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and hospitality at all times.
- Reservations Management:
- Manage room reservations and cancellations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
- Update guest information and reservation details accurately in the hotel management system.
- Ensure all special requests and preferences are noted and communicated to the appropriate departments.
- Administrative Duties:
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, emailing, and data entry.
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments, providing receipts, and balancing cash drawers.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any guest issues or operational challenges.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure security of guest belongings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
