Houseperson/Housekeeping

Courtyard by Marriott is looking to hire a part time Houseperson. This will be an AM shift, 8a-4p. Weekend availability is a must. Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license, as you may be asked to drive the airport shuttle on occasion.

Description

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public spaces and stocking housekeeping supplies. Assists housekeepers and guests as needed by providing friendly, courteous and professional service, including adherence to health regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsible for cleaning hotel public spaces

Stocks housekeeping supplies and linen

Responsible for delivering housekeeping related items to guest rooms

Accountable for guest satisfaction as it pertains to housekeeping service at the property

Assists and responds to requests in a positive and timely manner while providing the highest level of quality service to the guest

Works as a team player and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary

Understands and follows the company guest service recovery program

Ensures a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state and federal regulations

Reports all maintenance needs and service issues

Knowledgeable on the safe use of chemicals utilized within the housekeeping department

Follows all company procedures for guest/employee incidents

Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures

Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties

Adheres to the company attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures

Attends all required department and hotel meetings

Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties: Van Driver

Safely transport guests to/from their destinations, provide information and luggage assistance
Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner
Responsible for providing the highest level of service
Ability to assist and direct guests by knowledge of hotel property, amenities, local area, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services
Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary.
Fill out all required logs and complete safety checks of the vehicles
Ensure there is gas in the vehicle and that it is clean and presentable by picking up trash and periodically going through a car wash
Responsible for the safe operation of hotel vehicle, and adheres to all applicable traffic laws
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.10 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
