Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

What You’ll Do
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the team meets their responsibilities, maintains compliance, and upholds brand standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership:
- Oversee and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed professionally and efficiently.
- Delegate responsibilities, set clear expectations, and hold team members accountable for their work.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and ensure team members meet compliance requirements.
Maintenance Expertise:
- Perform and oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) for guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment.
- Ensure thorough knowledge and implementation of PM on pools, HVAC systems, plumbing, and other critical building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and ensure quick resolutions.
Compliance & Standards:
- Maintain compliance with Marriott Brand Standards, local safety regulations, and Galaxy Hotels Group policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and completed PM tasks.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor daily checklists, logs, and maintenance requests to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs to identify issues and prioritize repairs.
- Collaborate with department managers to align maintenance priorities with hotel operations.
Proactive Problem-Solving:
- Anticipate potential issues with equipment and systems, and implement solutions before they escalate.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed with attention to detail, cleanliness, and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a results-driven leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for maintaining high operational standards.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of maintenance or facilities management experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Hotel experience is preferred.
- Pool Maintenance (chemical balancing, equipment troubleshooting).
- HVAC Systems (preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting).
- Plumbing Systems (diagnosing and repairing leaks, drains, and pressure systems).
- Commercial Building Preventative Maintenance (inspections, repairs, and equipment management).
Communication Requirements
- Must possess basic to advanced English proficiency to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management.
- Ability to clearly understand and respond to guest requests and concerns in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of handling time-sensitive situations (e.g., maintenance emergencies) by communicating quickly and effectively in English without reliance on translation tools.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions, manuals, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures provided in English.
- This requirement is essential for maintaining guest satisfaction, ensuring safety during emergencies, and supporting operational efficiency.
