Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and custodial services, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are welcoming, safe, and impeccably clean for guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff, providing training and support to ensure high-quality cleaning standards.
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and protocols to maintain cleanliness in all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and available.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events or peak occupancy times.
- Address any guest concerns or feedback regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, supply usage, and maintenance requests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, industrial cleaning techniques, and floor care procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is preferred but not required.
