Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead operations at the Courtyard by Marriott Farmington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, maximizing revenue, and leading a high-performing team in alignment with Marriott’s service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all hotel departments including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
- Ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial plans, and performance goals to maximize profitability.
- Monitor occupancy rates and adjust room rates and promotions accordingly.
- Recruit, train, and manage department heads and key staff; conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment and maintain a strong company culture.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, health & safety regulations, and local laws.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests with escalated concerns or special needs.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses and the community to promote the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Hotel Management or a related field preferred.
- 4 years of hotel management experience, with at least 2 years in a GM role (preferably with Marriott or similar brand).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and operational goals.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Marriott MGS).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
