Full Time Bartender Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Full Time Bartender to join our team at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to create a memorable guest experience. They will be responsible for courteously and efficiently waiting on guests while creating and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Pacifica's Pure Stay guidelines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests.
- Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and upsell where possible.
- Create and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages.
- Responsible for designated section and accurately collecting and completing payment for drinks served.
- Process all cash and charge transactions according to house policies.
- Stock side station with garnishes, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers.
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes.
- Stock beverages and mixes for next shift.
- CLOSE checks and run reports at the end of shift.
- Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times.
- Adhere to food safety and handling procedures.
- Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping department.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- Must meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages.
- Minimum one (1) year of bartending in a full-service restaurant or Hotel F&B outlet required.
- Ability to operate a computerized point of sale system required.
- High school or equivalent education.
- TB clearance card required.
- English speaking or bilingual.
- Operate cash register.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
- Dependable.
