Barista

Part-Time: (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday's)

Salary: ($13/hr tips)

Hours: 6am-10am

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for serving food and beverages to patrons in a professional and friendly manner.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Reviews upcoming activities and anticipates busy and slow times.

2. Stocks Food and Coffee supplies.

3. Follows procedures for opening and closing till at beginning and end of shift.

4. Rings all prices correctly.

5. Computes bill, collects payment (cash or credit card) and makes change for the patron.

6. Takes and fills orders from patrons promptly in a friendly manner.

7. Serves meals, salads, etc. to patrons as needed.

8. Greets guests and introduces self by name.

9. Maintains proper knowledge of beverages, food and specials.

10. Reports for work in proper attire.

11. Assures guests are of legal drinking age.

12. Trains in new associates as directed.

13. Practices responsible alcohol service in compliance with TPI Hospitality Alcohol Awareness Program.

14. Cleans up at the end of the shift in accordance with check list.

15. Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments and suggestions to the management of the organization and not to other associates, guests, etc.

16. Supports the TPI Hospitality Mission Statement, Vision Statement, philosophy, policies and procedures.
