Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Admissions/Social Worker to join our team at Courtyards Community Living Center. As an Admissions/Social Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing emotional support, connecting them with essential services, and advocating for their well-being. You are responsible for the development and implementation of the facility’s admissions development plan including facility tours, evaluation of prospective residents for appropriate placement, overseeing the admissions process, tracking referrals, and assisting with new service development.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with and call upon referral sources.
• Meet budgeted census quotas and bed mix projections.
• Develop recommendations for new services in response to the needs of referral sources.
• Conduct follow-up calls with referral sources.
• Oversee the building of a positive image in the community.
• Work in concert with the management company on news releases, direct mail, and other tactics.
• Cultivate and engage in civic organizations and community events.
• Develop effective promotional campaigns and materials.
• Plan and host community events in the facility.
• Provide training for new team members on working with referral sources and building census.
• Manage and monitor the inquiry and admissions process.
• Develop a benefit-oriented tour for inquiries and train management and leaders accordingly.
• Seek ways to streamline the admissions process.
• Coordinate the welcoming of new residents and family members.
• Track satisfaction levels of all constituents and provide recommendations as necessary.
• Complete regular competitive surveys.
• Be aware of competitors’ promotional activities, offerings, activities, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Administer satisfaction and/or follow-up surveys to all appropriate residents, facilities, referral sources, and public agencies.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Social Work, Business or related field preferred; or combination of education and experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in admissions or community relations required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in long term health care preferred.
• Familiar with local medical community preferred. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • Valid driver’s license.
