Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a talented Lead Systems Engineer who possesses advanced scientific knowledge and systems engineering expertise. You will be expected to tackle complex challenges independently, lead system requirements development and management, and actively engage in system integration while ensuring best practices in innovation and system performance. This position is primarily on-site at our Woburn, MA location, with occasional remote work permitted upon supervisor approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive risk processes, including FMEAs, hazards assessments, and fault tree analyses.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams to advocate for and implement best practices in Systems Engineering.
- Work across functions to ensure regulatory compliance and develop innovative solutions catered to our customers.
- Create and manage system requirements across software, mechanical, electrical, and chemical disciplines.
- Engage closely with software, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering teams for seamless integration of software and firmware with hardware systems, following robust software standards.
- Promote transparent communication among teams and stakeholders, consistently providing project updates and addressing technical or scheduling issues.
- Decompose requirements for current and new projects effectively.
- Oversee vendor management for external collaborations.
- Perform tasks in a laboratory environment, including lifting items up to 25 lbs.
