Primary Function:

  • Provide screening and assessment services for clients at risk or diagnosed with chemical dependency or co-occurring chemical dependency and mental health disorders by performing the following duties.

Scope of Work:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.

  • Conduct client assessments and evaluations including screening for co-occurring disorders, determine appropriate level of care and implement referrals as clinically indicated.
  • Assist in determining funding stream for payment of services.
  • Complete psychosocial assessment on each client.
  • Facilitate and coordinate client admission process.
  • Make referrals for appropriate level of care and/or to other resource agencies.
  • Work with clients in treatment or waiting treatment to effectively manage medical, financial, legal or other issues that are barriers to successful completion of the treatment episode.
  • Participate in staff development activities.
  • Assist in training and education of other staff members, interns and students.
  • Prepare all files according to standards and licensing requirements.
  • Attend all clinical staffing sessions and provide input as necessary.
  • Complete all required reporting on activities, including but not limited to monthly reports and weekly schedules.
  • Prepare billing materials for all services rendered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Knowledge of 12-step program, behavior modification, case management and addiction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand and/or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree (required).
  • LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT (required)
  • Two to four years of related experience
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screen prior to start date.

Compensation: $25 / hr
