What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Cove Communities?
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Greets all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepares and serves beverages following established protocol, and all state and federal liquor laws.
- Keeps Community Manager and Supervisor aware of any issues that in a timely manner and assists in resolution.
- Must be efficient in cash handling procedures, and maintain a working knowledge of POS system and its functions including but not limited to credit card and gift card transactions.
- Makes sure that all daily revenue and server tip reports are reconciled and given to accounting at the end of every day.
- Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
- Assists Back of House Supervisor to decorate the bar area for theme weekends.
- Supports and follows Cove Communities and Creekfire policy at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills.
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
- TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds on a regular basis and able to withstand long periods of time on your feet.
- Ability to function well in a high pace, sometimes high stress environment.
- Comfortable effectively communicating with all levels of guests and staff.
- Night and weekend work is required.
