Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees the maintenance of the golf course, gardens, practice area and automated irrigation systems
• Trains, develops, and manages golf maintenance staff
• Supervises maintenance and upkeep of the fleet of golf maintenance equipment including staff golf carts
• Provides expert guidance on maintaining optimal plant health at golf course as well as provide recommendations to Facilities Department as needed
• Oversees or performs testing and monitoring of turf chemicals to recommended levels
• Works closely with the General Manager and Controller to insure financials are within established budget range
• Supports and follows Cove Communities and Point Sebago policy at all times
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices
• Must currently hold or have ability to immediately obtain a Master’s level pesticide license
• Prior Superintendent experience preferred
• Weekend work may be required in season
• Ability to function well in a high pace, sometimes high stress environment
• Comfortable effectively communicating with all levels of guests and staff
