Job Description:
The Manager at Cove Ledge will be an individual with experience and knowledge in the wine and spirits industry who is committed to extraordinary customer service. He or she will follow industry trends, enhance store offerings and organization, and be able to connect with customers and communicate their passion for fine wines and spirits. Experience in developing and maintaining a social media presence required.
Responsibilities:
· Open and close the store – we are open Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 11am-5pm from May-December and move the opening time back to 11am during the winter
· Organize products and maintain clean appearance of the store, merchandise and seasonal window displays
· Restock shelves, manage inventory and update product orders based on demand
· Receive deliveries from distributors, update inventory and stock received products
· Handle cash register, checkouts and other administrative duties
· Produce a daily sales report and reconcile cash/credit/debit/electronic sales with POS report
· Analyze sales data and make purchase recommendations
· Run weekly inventory and provide reports for high/low demand products
· Manage relationships with distributors and producers – both online and in-store visits
· Organize weekly wine tastings and other seasonal events in the 2nd floor tasting room and outdoor garden
· Provide best-in-class customer service including helping customers with questions and product selections
· Keep updated with wine/liquor/beer industry trends and state liquor regulations
· Develop client email list and manage weekly communications
· Create and manage social media posts and monitor feedback to the store’s social media posts
· Supervise other store staff including assisting with scheduling, interviewing and hiring
Compensation & Benefits:
The Manager role offers an annual base salary in the range of $60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience, to be paid on a weekly basis via direct deposit. In addition, the Manager is eligible earn quarterly cash bonuses. The Manager will be entitled to 15 days of paid time off accrued at the rate of 1.25 days per month. As the business grows, we do intend to offer comprehensive benefits in the future, which will include health insurance, a 401K program, and reimbursement for wine and spirits education.
This role is based on a 40-hour work week Tuesday through Saturday. The store operates 7 days per week, and we will finalize a mutually agreeable schedule for you that meets both the needs of the store and your preferences. Weekend work will be expected, especially during the busy summer months and the holiday season.
