Coveleigh Club is seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and adhering to food safety standards. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented on time, maintaining quality and portion control.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in daily prep work and food inventory management.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and guests.
• Monitor food storage and waste management to minimize spoilage.
• Adapt to special dietary requests and ensure consistency across all dishes.
• Assist with banquet and special event preparations when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a line cook or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• ServSafe or other food safety certification is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
