Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Inpatient Role in Jacksonville, NC!

We're actively looking for qualified candidates, including those recently credentialed, to join the team in Jacksonville, NC.

- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends, holidays off, no on-call)
- Manageable patient load: up to 2 initial consults and 14-18 follow-ups daily
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) you will:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and assessments of behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending therapy options.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention and support, addressing acute mental health issues when required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to coordinate care for patients.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (Epic) systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain professional licensure and certification.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications for this PMHNP position include:
- Current and unencumbered North Carolina Nursing license with PMHNP credentials
- Recently credentialed PMHNPs are encouraged to apply!
