What are the responsibilities and job description for the America Reads Program Tutor 24/25 ($10.25) position at Covenant College Students?
APPLICANT MUST HAVE FEDERAL WORK STUDY. This position if for the full academic year and open to all upperclassmen WITH Federal Work-Study designation only.
This position is OFF CAMPUS. Applicants must have reliable transportation.
Tutors perform one-on-one work with individual students, small group work, or class activities. Tutors collaborate with America Reads / Counts supervisors, teachers, and after-school program coordinators to assess students needs and how to best address them.
Qualifications for Position :
- Must have federal work-study eligibility
- Must have dependable transportation to local schools
- Elementary Education major preferred
- Good with children
- Excellent communication skills and teaching ability
